Financial Accountant

We are in search of a driven and dedicated Financial Accountant who will primarily manage and process the Accounting functions such as bookkeeping, accounts payable and receivables. Ideally, you should have had capacity at the supervisory level and be able to utilise your expertise to perform your function almost flawlessly and help improve processes. You will support a rapidly growing global company with over 200 employees mostly located in Australia, Philippines and Vietnam. This role will be reporting to our Chief Financial Officer.


What are you expected to do?

  • Ensures that any and all accounting functions are carried out especially bookkeeping and bank reconciliations, preparing general ledger journals and reconciling the balance sheet, managing accounts payable and receivable; Prepares the financial statement (FS) periodically in coordination with management and external auditors
  • Manages and complies with local and government reporting requirements and tax filings; Maintains accounting controls by conducting audits, improving processes, and recommending initiatives/control measures
  • Handles treasury; prepares the budget and financial forecasts and report variances.
  • Ensures compliance with any government requirements especially tax filings; Recommends resolution to bridge any gaps
  • Acts as the frontline contact for any Accounting and Finance issues, and concerns
  • Takes on any tasks that may be assigned in relation to Finance and Accounting Functions; Attends meetings/discussions that may be called by internal and external stakeholders.

You'll be a great fit if:

  • You are experienced in bookkeeping with at least five (5) years of total experience; two (2) to three (3) years in a supervisory role.
  • You have excellent accounting software user and administration skills
  • You have experience using XERO is a requirement. Knowledge of payroll software and year end processes an advantage
  • You have excellent communication skills
  • You have intermediate to advanced proficiency in Excel
  • We'll be thrilled if you have experience working in the BPO industry
