So I told her again that I need to get to the ShareSource office immediately as I was already running late for my client interview. Still looking puzzled she told me that I must have had the direction wrong. As sure as I know where I was heading, I debated with the lady guard and told her adamantly that I was at the right address, and argued that I needed to get to the third floor of the building right away. With a smirk on her face, the lady guard of the building just said: I am sorry, Miss, but this building has no third floor.”

Such was the amusing account of Ms. Ivy P. Baliong on how she started with ShareSource BPO Australia. Being so excited to be part of the company she arrived at the wrong office for her client interview. But come this January 16, 2015 she will be celebrating her first year with the company. There is no denying that she has been very happy with ShareSource BPO since then. She started as a Data Invoice Specialist and was easily promoted to a Junior Team Leader – Invoice Capture of Davao City office. She usually arrives at 6:30 in the morning and most of the time, if not always, ends beyond the office hour of 4:00 in the afternoon. What matters more to her is her final output at the end of the day.

Upholding the Filipino family tradition, Ivy, being the eldest of 11 children, delights in extending financial help to her parents. This serves as her motivation to bring out the best she can be for the company. Her hard work earned her the recognition of being the first ever ShareSource BPO’s Employee of the Month awarded last August,2014. Her direct supervisor, Ms. Wendy Garratty, said that she “has a strong personal integrity which is reflected in her high work standards and is very dedicated to her job.” Ivy said that she loves not only her job but also the people in the office around her – officemates, clients, and the management. They are family for her.

She intends to learn a lot more being in ShareSource, like the interpersonal communication skills with the clients and management, best management practices, and even develop proficiency on IT system. With her dedication and love for her work in ShareSource it would be hard not to see her on top of her ambitions in life.
